Tola (תולע)

3rd/23[1] years of the Judgeship of Tola[2] (תולע), the son of Puah (פואה), and the grandson of Dodo (דזדו), a man of tribe of Issachar. Just as Tola is a direct descendent of Dodo [3](דזדו); “beloving himself,” so too is Shalmaneser I the direct descendent of Adad-nirari I [4](אדד-נעררי); Hebrew meaning: “I shall love to raise up,” whose both names have the same Hebrew root-stem DD [5](דד); “uncle or beloved,” a second indication for Shalmaneser I to reign during the judgeship of Tola.
